Referral Letter
Wednesday, November 5th 2008
My husband and I had a great experience working with Kristi Hutchings as our Realtor.  She was always prompt and professional and pleasant to be around.  She was very easy to get a hold of and made sure to answer all of our questions and address any concerns that we had.  She worked well with the other Realtor and the loan officers and made the process as easy and fun as possible.  I really appreciated how she completely objective when going though different houses with us.  She simply told us the good and bad things about each house and didn't pressure us in any way.  She was also very flexible and willing to work with our schedules.  I would highly recommend Kristi to anyone looking for a Realtor.

SR 68 Construction Weekly Project Updates

Check here for weekly updates from UDOT regarding the expansion of Redwood Road.

Project Update: 10/29/08

Work near the intersection of SR-68/SR-73 (the crossroads) is scheduled to begin October 30th.   Crews will be removing the center islands in preparation for future lane shifts.  Please watch for lane restrictions and expect minor delays. As work picks up in this area in coming weeks, delays will likely increase. Thank you for your patience.

Segment 4 - Beginning just south of the intersection at Bangerter Highway and ending at the south end of Bluffdale proper.

In coordination with the S.R. 68 project, Bluffdale City will continue work on its new waterline this week on the west side of the road moving north from 14400 S.
Crews will be paving between 15000 S. – 14600 S.  this week.  Also, in this area preparatory work for the installation of curb and gutter will be in process.
To accommodate roadway widening and canal improvements, crews will be removing trees in the northeast corner of the intersection at 14400 S.
Storm drain work will occur on the east side of the road this week beginning at 14400 S. and continuing south.  This work should be limited to the shoulder of the road.

Segment 3 - Beginning south of Bluffdale and ending just south of Camp Williams.

Excavation activities will occur in several areas of this segment this week in preparation for roadbase and paving.

Crews will be installing storm drain in several areas this week.  Any associated side streets and driveway closures will be brief.

Segment 2 – Beginning south of Camp Williams and ending just south of the intersection at SR-73 in Saratoga Springs.

Work is scheduled to begin in the crossroads intersection (SR-68 and SR-73) tomorrow with minor traffic impacts. Crews will be removing the center islands. Please expect increasing delays in the area as work ramps up in coming weeks.

Excavation work will begin in the center of the existing roadway.  Existing traffic shifts will remain in place to help accommodate this work.  Please drive carefully and be prepared to stop.

Segment 1 – Beginning south of the intersection at SR-73 and ending at 400 S in Saratoga Springs.

Crews will continue grading and placing fill in the areas south of SR-73 this week.

FIRST GROCERY STORE COMING TO EAGLE MOUNTAIN
Associated Food Store to Start Construction This Summer

Eagle Mountain, UT, May 1 – A deal to bring the first large-scale grocery store to Eagle Mountain City has been finalized, Mayor Heather Jackson announced today.   An Associated Food store will begin construction in August of this year and is expected to be completed by May 2009. The store will be located on the north side of SR-73 at Ranches Parkway.

“Our citizens have been looking forward to the convenience of shopping in their own city for some time, so we are really excited to announce that it is happening,” Mayor Jackson said.

Steve Miner with Associated Food Stores has announced that the store will be the first of its kind - called Coop's Market, named after Phillip Cooper, president of CWC, Inc., a new independent grocery store operator in Utah.  The 50,000 square foot store will have a bakery, deli, indoor pharmacy, drive-up pharmacy, and organic food.

Additional retail space will be built around the grocery store, with potential tenants to include financial services, restaurants, and other smaller businesses.

The Associated Food store is one product of the city’s increased economic development efforts.  As the city with the third largest geographical area in the state, Eagle Mountain has been actively promoting its available land, reasonable prices, and population figures to interested parties within and outside of Utah.

“We’ve been working diligently to develop the means and circumstances to bring more economic development to the city,” City Administrator John Hendrickson said.  “This is the first step in what we hope will be more commercial growth for the city.”

Saratoga Springs - Marina Open
Friday, April 11th 2008
The City's marina is open for business. In order to defray some of the costs of operating the marina, the City has began charging users to launch boats. The fees are as follows:

Day Pass: $8.00
Season Pass: $50.00 for residents and $75.00 for non-residents

Fees are only charged to launch boats and other personal watercraft. Entrance is always free for residents who would like to use the marina for activities other than launching boats. Season passes are available to be purchased at the City offices during business hours. For safety reason, the capacity of the marina is 50 boats and use of the marina is on a first come, first serve basis.
The marina is located at 200 E Harbor Parkway.
